Seaton Wetlands Volunteer Achieves 94% in Master’s Degree
Seaton Wetlands Tuesday Taskforce Volunteer, Teri Murphy recently celebrated a 94% score in an assignment for her Master’s degree in Wildlife, Biology and Conservation through Edinburgh Napier University.
The assignment was to develop a proposal detailing how a (fictional) £500,000 grant could be used to develop a new local nature reserve.
Teri liaised with Countryside Manager, James Chubb for guidance and worked on a proposal for the development of Sheep’s Marsh.
The proposal focused on the infrastructure of the area, installing bird hides, accessible pathways, and interpretation, it had dual aims; to protect and enhance biodiversity on the site, and to increase and encourage public engagement with the Local Nature Reserve.
Congratulations to Teri for her achievement on this exciting piece of work.
