Join the Countryside team and the Axe Vale & District Conservation Society for a full day BioBlitz – where we will attempt to record every species found on the site.


Drop-in throughout the day for a range of family-friendly guided and self-guided activities. The Seaton Wetlands Discovery Hut will be serving delicious cream teas throughout the day.

All species will be recorded on the iNaturalist app.

Full schedule of activities:

10am to 4pm: Guide in the Hide, Island Hide - Learn about the birds you can see at the Wetlands.

10am: Moth trapping event, The Reed Base.

11am: Introduction to iNaturalist, the Discovery Hut - Explore the stream, pond, grassland and wetlands, logging what you see.

12noon: Guided flower walk, Colyford Common - Learn about the flora and fauna.

1pm: Introduction to iNaturalist, The Discovery Hut - Explore the stream, pond, grassland and wetlands, logging what you see.

2pm: Guided flower walk, Colyford Common - Learn about the flora and fauna.

730pm: Bat walk ONLY £10, Seaton Wetlands car park - Book your place here

Arrive by Tram from Seaton:

On the day, Seaton Tramway will be offering a:

‘Wetlands Express’ ticket, purchase tickets at Seaton Station or on the Tram website.

Adults £5

Children under 16 Free

Tickets get passengers a return ticket from Seaton – Seaton Wetlands only.
